Large sharp translucent semi lustrous rhombohedral crystals of calcite measuring to 3.2 cm in size set beautifully up on matrix. In great condition. This is from an ancient iron manganese mine, the pocket was dug in 1965. The locality was eventually abandoned in 1966. These are seldom seen available on the market today. Slightly red fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light.
