A classic old British specimen with disc-shaped crystals of siderite to 1.0 cm in size throughout this matrix with crystallized quartz. This is in great condition all around. There is quite a collecting history for this piece as seen in all of the paperwork at the end of the video. Originally the piece belong to William Vaux (1811 - 1882). From there it went to the famous collector Clarence Bement. After him, the specimen was in the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. From there it was traded out to Phil Scalisi who sold to Steve Pober. The specimen is been figured in Rocks and Minerals magazines, the September, October, 2015 issue.
