Siderite
specimen number:
1501149
location:
Cornwall, England, UK
description: Very neat example showing near chatoyant rhombohedral brown crystals of siderite to almost 1.0 cm in size over the top of a 9.0 x 7.0 x 1.5 cm matrix. The chatoyant see caused by the small build up of siderite crystals, forming a sort of step feature. Very minimal micro-chipping present, I think this in very good condition. It is likely that this comes from the Redruth area in Cornwall. A neat and attractive example for this British classic. Shipping weight: 0.21 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 9.0 x 7.0 x 1.5 cm (small-cabinet)
