description: While riebeckite is certainly known from this famous locality, specimen such as this one are extremely rare. Prismatic terminated semi-lustrous black undamaged crystal measuring 8.2 x 1.8 x 1.2 cm in size is perched along the edge of a quartz matrix. The piece will sit by itself for display. Measures 8.2 x 5.5 x 5.0 cm in size overall. Small notation upon the specimen notes that this was collected in October, 1980, by Dorothy Coil. Shipping weight: 1.19 pounds.
