description: Beautiful blue chalcedony, or quartz, replacing blocky pseudo-cubic crystals of what were likely melenophlogite measuring to 0.9 cm on edge. These are classic examples from this Romanian locality, almost always in the past labeled as quartz after fluorite. Recent thinking suggests that these were likely melanophlogite. This is an outstanding condition and measures 6.5 x 5.0 x 3.0 cm. Excellent color and slight translucency. Shipping weight: 0.33 pounds.
