Limonite after Marcasite with Quartz

Very sharp large bladed crystals of what were once marcasite to 2.5 cm across now replaced by limonite and set aesthetically upon a crystallized quartz matrix. This is in very fine condition and measures 5.0 x 5.0 x 2.5 cm in size. At one time, pre-1970s, these are easily found in the open pit barite mines in northern Washington Co., Missouri. Today they are seldom seen available in good specimens. Shipping weight: 0.11 pounds. Ex Charles Noll collection.
