Fluorite with Chalcopyrite
specimen number:
1352177
location:
Denton mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA
description:
An absolutely wonderful classic specimen from southern Illinois. Glassy gem quality color zoned cubic crystals of fluorite measuring to 7.5 cm on edge are forming a beautiful cluster without matrix. Crystals of chalcopyrite are scattered throughout, as inclusions and up on the surfaces of the fluorite crystals. This is in very good condition with just slight cleaving along the far right edge away from the piece as seen up close in the video. The quality is super.
