Meshberger Quarry, Columbus, Bartholomew Co., Indiana, USA
description:
Glassy translucent to transparent scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 4.0 cm in size over this breccia matrix measuring 9.0 x 7.0 x 6.5 cm in size. Minimal cleaving present, this confined to the edges of the piece and away from the center. Overall I think in excellent condition and the specimen displays beautifully on its own. Minor pyrite present as well. The larger crystal exhibits a sharp phantom crystal. Quite choice for this locality. Shipping weight: 0.54 pounds.
Size: 9.0 x 7.0 x 6.5 cm (small-cabinet)
